NCAIE Excellence in International Education Awards

Beginning in 2000 your NCAIE State Board began the awarding of three international excellence awards: individual, volunteer, and institutional. These awards go to individuals and institutions whose contributions and accomplishments in international education are unselfish and exemplary. Descriptions of each award are listed below.

We are now taking nominations for three awards presented annually at the state conference.

The Martha Fitch Trigonis Individual Award
This award is presented to an individual who has shown remarkable excellence in the field of international education. Those who have received the award in the past have made contributions at the state, regional, and even at the national level. They have served unselfishly, always working to further the mission of NCAIE here and elsewhere.

Institutional Award
This award is presented to an institution whose international programming is exemplary and outstanding. The institution's program should be not only excellent but also unique.

Volunteer Award
The Outstanding Volunteer Award is for the person(s) who have made significant contribution as community volunteer(s) who are committed to internationalism at a local academic institution.

A committee composed of the State Chair and the Past Chair or Chair Elect selects the honorees from nominations made by members of NCAIE.  The awards are presented to recipients during the NCAIE State Conference.

If you would like to nominate an individual and/or institution for an award, please click here to download the nomination form. Email it to Laura Hortal (lhortal@forsythtech.edu). The nomination deadline is Friday, January 31, 2014.
