International Leadership Conference for North Carolina Students
Greetings! The planning committee for the North Carolina International Leadership Conference for Students is happy to announce that registration for the 2013 conference is underway. The conference will bring together international students, returning study-abroad and serve-abroad students, and students specializing in the field of international and global relations from across the state. This conference is designed to enhance participants’ leadership skills and cultural understanding, as well as to facilitate the building of social networks for students to sustain upon return to their respective institutions.
This year's conference will be held at Davidson College from Saturday, November 16th to Sunday, November 17th.
Overcoming Global Challenges: Leaders for Change
The theme for this year’s conference relates to our increasingly interconnected world, and how the problems of one are the problems of all. Nowadays, hardly ever can political, economic or environmental difficulties of a single country be isolated and contained. For their substantially complex and interrelated nature, as well as for their wide-spreading impact, global issues today require a better understanding.
Engaging in conversations about shared global challenges is invaluable for our own well-being and for shaping our future decisions as leaders in our communities. Join us for the 2013 North Carolina International Leadership Conference as we explore global challenges and the responsibilities and opportunities we have as leaders to affect change.

Directions
Last year’s conference was held at Davidson County Community College in Thomasville, NC. Make sure you do not show up there for the conference this year! We’re at Davidson College, located in the Lake Norman area. Davidson College is 19 miles north of Charlotte, just off Interstate 77 at Exit 30. For Google maps or GPS please use the following address: Baker Drive and Faculty Drive, Davidson, NC 28036.
Please see the campus map as a reference.
Enter Baker Drive from Concord Road (Concord runs perpendicular to Main Street from the main stoplight in downtown Davidson). From Concord Road, turn left onto Baker Drive (look for the painted paw print in the road). The parking lot will be on your right.
Registration and lunch will be held in the Knobloch Campus Center. The Campus Center is at the far end of the stadium from the parking lot, opposite the scoreboard. Follow the sidewalk to the right of the stadium, up the hill from the large Wildcat statue, and you’ll reach the College Center on your right.
